Instructions:
1. Open the cap and fill with appropriate lighter refill fuel.
2. Dip the wick into the fuel.
3. Holding your finger over the fuel hole to prevent spilling, scrape downward with the metal tip along the sparking rod.
4. Do not burn the wick dry. Make sure flame is fully extinguished before putting the striker back into the fuel reservoir.
Shipping Notice: Your fire starter will arrive empty. It should be filled with an appropriate lighter refill fuel before striking. Striking with the wick dry will burn up the wick.

FREE STANDARD SHIPPING: If you choose free standard shipping during checkout, you won't have to pay a cent for shipping! For free standard shipping orders, expect to receive your order in 8-10 business days once your order ships. YES--Even rods are eligible for Free Standard Shipping!
Handling Time
We ship orders Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Most orders ship in 1 business day. On average, we are shipping orders around 17 hours after checkout is completed.
Delivery Dates
Dates shown during checkout are ESTIMATES given by the carriers. At this time, most carriers are not guaranteeing their delivery dates (except for certain overnight services).
Shipping estimates begin once your order has shipped. For example, if you choose an option with 3-day delivery, you’ll likely receive it in about 4-5 business days. (1-2 days to get your order ready and in the mail stream + 3 transit days).
If you have an important event coming up and need your order by a specific date, please contact us to make sure your order ships with a shipping method that will reach you in time.

I was disappointed . The strike rod came off on 2 of the units and the match guts came out of one. I do not recommend this product.

I don't smoke, so I don't carry a lighter with me and sometimes you need to be able to start a fire. If you accidentally fall overboard and need to get dry and warmed up this could save your life. It is small enough to carry anywhere and reliable when you need it. A handy little insurance policy that you hope you will never need. Can also start a fire to cook the days catch.
